Tony helped me find a fully entitled development project for my organization. We are a group of investors from China and wanted to build a multi-family. It was our first venture in the United States. Tony helped us purchase the property that was fully entitled as a mixed-use development with 50 residential apartment units and over 5,000 square feet of retail in downtown San Jose.
Tony ensured that the building plans, permits and other documents were in order so that we could start building as soon as we closed. He made sure that the seller followed through on their environmental remediation and clean up. He had all governmental approvals signed off before we closed escrow. We felt very comfortable moving ahead with this project.
After the close of escrow, Tony did not simply walk away. We wanted to use his experience and knowledge of the area to help find a general contractor to build the project. Tony set up several appointments with the top multi-family, podium builders in the area and we attended with him. His knowledge of the construction process was something we had not initially expected. In fact, after we selected the general contractor to complete the construction, we retained Tony to help manage the project as the Owner’s Representative. Without his help, we would have been lost.
